Turning Pages with Collins Debden: Defining Purpose 2

As part of our eighth edition of TURNING PAGES with Collins Debden, we speak to Nathalie Vattery Val, an executive from a global advisory firm on her definition of purpose.

Q1. Tell us a little bit about what you do?
My name is Nathalie, I am an executive at a global strategic advisory firm, working with a range of international clients across all industries

Q2. What’s your purpose driven mantra?
I strongly believe that “No masterpiece was ever created by a lazy artist”. As long as you have a purpose and you try your best at it, failure will never be an option.

Q3. Do you use a diary to track your tasks and what will we see if we took a peek into it?
My diary is a big part of my life. I use it to organise my life and if you were to take a peek into it, you’ll be able to get a clear picture of my busy week/month/day! I also use my diary to track my finances to ensure I’m not overspending! J  Every month, I will also reflect on my purpose and goals with regards to different aspects of my life by jotting down my thoughts in my diary.

Q4. What’s your favourite Collins Debden diary?
My favourite Collins Debden diary is the Collins Debden Edge Rainbow. Its bright appearance chirps me up and sets me on the right track to achieve my purpose and goals!

Q5. If you had one tip for a young executive like yourself, what would it be?
Don’t ever be afraid to ask questions. Take it as your opportunity to learn new things. I also always believe in taking your time to find your voice. Dig deep and figure out who you really are, what you really want and where you want to go. Life is the beginning of a never-ending learning journey – so stay excited, passionate and motivated!
